Time is running out to vote in the 2026 Reach for the Stars astrophotography competition, run by the School of Cosmic Physics at the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS).
With voting set to close at 5pm on Monday, 13 July, members of the public have just days left to help choose Ireland’s favourite night sky image in what is Ireland’s premier astrophotography competition.
From the moon rising between the Poolbeg Stacks in Dublin to the Milky Way arching over the Atlantic coast, this year's shortlisted entries from amateur and experienced astrophotographers across the island, reflect the growing public interest in astronomy and night-sky photography.
