Brian has over fifteen years’ experience in the PR industry in Ireland. He joined MKC in 2016 and took up the role of Managing Director in 2025. Prior to this he was Head of Communications for the leading business representative group the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland. Brian holds a Masters in International Relations, a BA in Economics and History and Diplomas in both Public Relations and Leadership.
Brian is the current chair of the Public Relations Consultants Association of Ireland, having first been elected onto its board in 2023.
Tim is co-founder of MKC Communications. He has over 30 years’ experience in the public relations industry in Ireland. He provides strategic advice to high profile multinational and Irish clients across the energy, media, financial, technology, education and agri-business sectors. He is also recognised as a leading expert in crisis planning and management.
Tim is an Honorary Life Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland, a member of the Emergency Planning Institute and the National Union of Journalists. A Political Science and Philosophy Graduate of UCD, he has a MSc Degree in Business Studies, specialising in Management and Organisation Studies.
Laurie is co-founder of MKC Communications and one of Ireland’s most experienced PR practitioners with three decades’ experience in the public relations industry. She advises the CEOs of some of the leading companies in Ireland, providing strategic insights in corporate communications and reputation management.
Laurie is a former Chair of the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA), and a Life Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland. She holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Marketing) degree from the University of Limerick.
David is a highly experienced communications consultant working across Corporate, Consumer, Digital, Sustainability and Public Affairs communications. In his role as a senior communications specialist, he provides strategic and tactical communications counsel to clients, delivering on their communications requirements.
David is also a board member of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland National Council.
Fiona has over 20 years’ experience working in different business sectors in Ireland and the United States. She has been with MKC since 2010 supporting the directors and managing the busy office. In her role as COO, Fiona is responsible for the operations of the business and supporting the managing director to achieve the business objectives. Fiona has a Bachelor of Science from Trinity College Dublin.
Sarah holds a Master of Arts in Politics and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Politics. With over 15 years of experience in national public affairs and public relations, she has developed strong expertise in strategic communications. In her previous role as a Parliamentary Assistant, she gained valuable insights into legislative processes and government affairs.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film & Media and he is also Founder and Editor-in-Chief of multi award-winning Irish technology website, www.TheEffect.Net. He has previously worked on a wide selection of technology and digital sector clients and has a keen interest in the consumer electronics market.
Lauren has nearly ten years’ experience in public affairs and communications with roles in political offices, state agencies, and government bodies. She holds a master’s degree from University College Dublin and a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, both in International Relations. She has previously worked in public transportation, at an international security forum in Washington DC, and in political research and advocacy.
Eamonn holds a Master of Arts in Political Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Politics and Law from Dublin City University (DCU). He has previously worked in public relations and public affairs servicing clients across the private and public sector and has developed a deep knowledge of the Irish media and political landscape.
With a background in B2C lifestyle/retail communications, Isobel has a deep knowledge of social media, executing and managing multi-channel strategies and campaigns.
Isobel holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Science from University College Dublin (UCD) as well as a professional diploma in Digital Marketing and Social Media Marketing from UCD Professional Academy.
In her current position as Senior Client Executive, Isobel works closely with the MKC Public Relations and Communications team.
Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Dublin City University (DCU), along with diplomas in PR and Marketing and Business Administration from UCD Professional Academy. In her role as Senior Client Executive, she works closely with the MKC Public Relations and Communications team.
Ella holds a BA (Hons) in English and French from Queen’s University Belfast and an MSc in Communication and Public Relations, with Advertising from Ulster University. She has a keen interest in social media and has conducted research in this area.
As a Client Executive, Ella works with the MKC Public Relations and Communication team.
Rachel is a highly experienced communications consultant having worked across corporate, consumer, tech PR, and internal communications.
She has worked in a number of leading PR agencies and was previously Head of Communications and Investor Relations for the National Digital Research Centre.
Rachel has a Politics and Philosophy degree from University College Dublin.
Gerard has worked as a public affairs consultant since 2008, partnering with a wide range of clients in the public and private sector. His portfolio currently includes state bodies, not for profit NGO’s, financial services, and multinational PLCs. He is a contributor to The Irish Times and participates regularly in political debate on Irish radio and television.
He previously served as Special Advisor to former Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, over two terms of Government from 1999 to 2007, and Government Press Secretary from June to August 2007.
John is former Secretary General of the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation. He is one of the most highly experienced public affairs experts in Ireland having worked at a senior level in the Departments of Enterprise, Environment, Transport, Finance and Labour as well as being a former Board member of IDA Ireland, the National Roads Authority, National Economic & Social Council and the Top Level Appointments Committee, among other appointments.
Derek is former Secretary General of the Department of Finance, bringing the highest levels of experience and understanding to bear in the interaction between economics, policy and public administration. He serves on a number of bodies including the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board, Professional Standards Board of Chartered Accountants Ireland, Audit Committee of the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Council of the Foundation of Fiscal Studies and the Scottish Government’s Exchequer Board. He has also served as a board member of the Central Bank Commission, National Treasury Management Agency, Civil Service Management Board and as Chairman of the Financial Stability Group.
Ariana has a master's degree in Business Administration and Human Resource Management from Dublin Business School. In her role as Office Administrator, Ariana works closely with the Chief Operations Officer, while supporting MKC staff on any behind the scenes work.
