Abtran’s staff from its Cork headquarters and Sligo office will open hundreds of phone lines accepting donations for children's charities during the show's broadcast on November 24th, as well as during its repeat airing over the weekend.
Abtran’s voluntarism is part of a larger community initiative with children from Holywell NS in Carrigaline and Sooey NS in Sligo, including children of Abtran staff, taking part in fun events to encourage donations to the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal.
The funds raised from this appeal will be managed by registered charity Community Foundation Ireland (RCN: 20044886), benefiting a range of children's charitable causes across Ireland.
Cormac Walshe from Abtran encourages everyone to engage with the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal, highlighting its significant impact for children and families who need support across Ireland, while noting the fantastic community spirit and generosity that people always show, even in challenging times.
Last year's RTÉ Late Late Toy Show had 1.6m viewers from Ireland and all over the world contributing to a total of €4 million raised for Irish charities across the island. There's hope to match or exceed these figures in the current year, with Abtran’s staff playing a crucial role in helping out.
For those who’d like to contribute, donations are accepted online (https://rtetoyshowappeal.ie), via Revolut, or through a dedicated phone line staffed by the brilliant Abtran crew of volunteers (1800 711 800) during the show and its repeat broadcast on Sunday afternoon.
Abtran is part of the Irish-owned Org group of advisory and service companies including the global talent services business Morgan McKinley and professional services advisory firm Org.
