In what is an exciting development for Carlow GAA, County Board Chairman Michael Meaney said: “We are delighted to have a Carlow based company showing the confidence in the GAA to come on board with us. The naming rights to stadia is something that other counties have done successfully and Netwatch Cullen Park, as it is now to be known, is a very positive step for all concerned.”
David Walsh, CEO of Netwatch said: “We are delighted to be associated with the heritage and history of Dr. Cullen whose name is synonymous with the stadium and the evolution of Carlow GAA over the decades since its opening in 1936. All of us are very proud of Carlow and there is no better expression of that pride than the local GAA teams playing up and down the county every week. Teamwork, commitment and striving for excellence are all values played out every week in Carlow GAA. They are the same values at the heart of our business in Netwatch and that’s why this relationship is a perfect fit for both Carlow GAA and Netwatch.”
“As a company, Netwatch is committed to supporting people and projects locally and we are delighted to support Carlow GAA”, said David Walsh. “The heritage of Dr. Cullen is maintained in the new name of the stadium and this was very important to us and to Carlow GAA. In 2016, the stadium celebrates its 80th year in existence and we look forward to working with Carlow GAA on marking this very significant anniversary.”
