The tantalising treats will go on sale in ARAMARK facilities around Ireland with a percentage of each sale going directly to ARAMARK’s charitable fund. The Charitable fund is comprised of ARAMARK’s four charities for 2010: Focus Ireland, St. Gabriel’s School and Centre Limerick, Cancer Care West and Northern Ireland Hospice, these charities were chosen by ARAMARK employees at the beginning of the year. Over the last two years ARAMARK has raised over €100,000 for Irish charities through its charitable fundraising initiatives and campaigns. During the week long Cupcake Campaign, visitors to any of ARAMARK’s 400 catering facilities around Ireland can choose from delicious varieties of Cupcakes including Carrot Cake, Caramel and Coconut Cupcakes to name but a few. Joan O’Shaughnessy, CEO of ARAMARK Ireland said, “Everyone needs a little indulgence every now and then and our Cupcake Campaign offers people a delicious treat while supporting an important cause. The money raised will go to our four worthy charities. We hope everyone will show their support and help us to make this year an even bigger success.” Mark Mellet, Director of Fundraising, Focus Ireland said “ You can feel guilt free eating these little indulgences as every cupcake you enjoy will go towards making a difference to the lives of people currently or at risk of homelessness. Focus Ireland works to support people who are homeless as well as individuals and families at risk of losing their home. As more and more people are affected by the recession, struggling to pay their bills or their mortgage or rent, Focus Ireland is seeing a rise in the number of people coming to us for support. We really rely on fundraisers such as the ARAMARK Cupcake Campaign to help bring in a third of the funds necessary to help get them back on their feet so they never run the risk of becoming homeless.” ARAMARK Ireland, incorporating Campbell Catering, is a leader in the provision of award winning food and facilities management services to clients in the pharmaceutical, financial services, IT and manufacturing sectors, as well as institutions in the educational and healthcare sector. Employing almost 4,000 people throughout the island of Ireland, ARAMARK Ireland is headquartered in Dublin, with regional offices in Cork, Limerick and Belfast. |
